WEEK 2

We are continuing increasing our knowledge and skills to make use of the UTA platform. We started this session changing our personal Aula Virtual´s password for more security. Then, we learned more about taking part in a forum discussion, where its participants can provide their opinions to make it richer in sources. We live in a very rich culture, but it is even more important for us to get in contact and learn from foreign people. They can inform us about many things that could be useful to become in people with opened mind. Teacher Wilma started one to train and to engage us to use it. Everybody participated on it and it was really interesting to learn and perform this assignment as well. Forums are so useful tools to keep our students interested on any topic and in a continue learning process.

Our posts are very important for teacher Wilma, she explained us, because she can realize how much and how well we are learning throughout them. She explained us how manage our entries well. We did a practice-quiz in order to get ready for the real one that will be next week. It was structured on the Hot-potatoes platform that evaluates our current knowledge based on a multi-answer format and ranks our performance according to our right or wrong responses.

A good teacher pursuits the excellence. We are learning about many tools to become in the best ones. We are being trained by the best teachers as well. Now, our one responsibility is to take advantage of these resources that our scholars are setting right in our hands to get our aims fulfilled. WEEK 1

Internet and Multimedia as a subject is a fresh implementation to teach and to train us in order to get professionals who are able to make use of them to educate others, as well.

I am so interested in learning as much as I can. We started our classes this week. On Tuesday we took a look of our module. We saw what we are going to learn, the topics and the new multimedia sources we will use. Besides, teacher Wilma told us about the tools we will use to develop our skills, such as our personal blog to elaborate a Learning Reflexion Journal. It must be edited every week, adding on it a detailed description of our learning process. On Thursday, we started our first assignment. It is kind of reflective and makes emphasis on evaluate and asses websites as critical thinkers to judge which are good and resourceful for us and which are not.

My objectives for this subject are very clear. I know it is very important to be aware about the importance and the pedagogical benefits of applying technology when teaching. Whether we want to be a good teacher and to get acceptable results when teaching others, we must being in constantly innovation about teaching sources. I want to learn to use those tools efficiently and keep them in mind to apply them when they were necessary.

At the end of the present semester, I want to know as many multimedia means as possible to help people to learn; not only in theory, but also in perform.
